Stick and Puck this Sunday!

Want to try out Ice Hockey? Stick and Puck is the ideal place to do this for 6-16's year olds. All kit and equipment is provided and trained coaches are on the ice all times to show and teach the game.

Sessions start at 4:15pm and are FREE OF CHARGE and any child who attend will receive free entry to the evenings Oxford City Stars game. If you plan to attend, ensure that you arrive at least 15 minutes before to allow time for kitting up.

After last week saw just the one game involving Oxford sides, normal service is resumed with seven matches across the three days.

Oxford City Stars are in action on Sunday when they take on the second place Wightlink Tigers. Tigers were the early season form side winning their first three matches comfortably before they came unstuck at home to the Romford Fury and two losses to Peterborough Islanders, including a 12-3 away defeat. Since then however, they have rebounded to beat Bristol 10-5 and Invicta 8-5 both at home.

Stars fight their way to a 3-1 victory over Romford

Oxford City Stars got their league campaign back on track with a 3-1 win over Romford Fury with goals from Darren Elliott and Nick Oliver. It was a hard working and tough win against a physical and intense Romford side. Despite the game being predominatly clean, it was marred by three fights at end of the match, after Oxford had scored the winning goal.

Stars crush Blues 6-3 to lift first silverware of the season in Town vs Gown

Oxford City Stars recorded in a win a highly fought and controversial Town and Gown match over Oxford Blues with goals from Josh Oliver, Joe Edwards, Jacob Smith, Darren Elliott, Warren Jones and Nick Oliver. Jonathan Werner for the Blues got him self an early ejection after a reckless hit on Stars coach Darren Elliott as well as James Clarke getting ejected for clipping and the match saw a total of 100 penalty minutes called between the sides.

Week 11 is a special weekend as it is dominated by the Town vs Gown clashes, with three matches taking place across the two days between the University and the "Stars" and elsewhere the U10's have a cross-ice tournament, the U18's travel to Romford and the RAF Bluewings take on Basingstoke in the SDC.
