The Oxford City Stars today boosted their forward lines with the re-signings of Jacob Smith and Warren Jones for their National Ice Hockey League Division 2 campaign. In addition, Stars announced the signing of another young prospect from the Junior ranks with the addition of defenceman Jonathan Bayliss. With the Stars focusing on building a team of Oxford based players, the Stars have made three key signings as both of the players came through the Stars junior system.

Ticket Prices / Season Tickets

With the league structure and fixtures confirmed Oxford City Stars have confirmed the tickets pricing and packages that are available for the 2012/13 Season. The Stars will play in 16 home games between September and March comprised of 11 league matches, 4 cup games, and the Town and Gown challenge against Oxford University Blues.

Single game tickets (for league and cup games) are priced at:

£6 Adults
£3 Concessions (any of Students (showing ID, over 65's, Members of the Armed Forces (either in uniform or showing ID)

Stars confirm fixtures, enter NIHL Cup

Oxford City Stars today announced their fixtures for the upcoming 2012/13 National Ice Hockey League season. In addition to their league program they have also been accepted into the newly formed NIHL Cup, locking horns with some of the top sides in the National League as well as some traditional rivals.

Oxford City Stars today made their 6th and 7th signings of the season with the re-signing of Stars legend Nick Oliver and the promotion of 16 year old Michael Raff to the senior team after a hugely successful 2011/12 season in the Junior leagues.

Trials finished, other updates

Two weeks of very well attended trials came to a close last night with over 30 players on the ice battling to make the cut for the Stars lineup for the 2012/13 season, coming on the back of five weeks of Summer League lead by Jeff Sykora and Darren Elliott and both coaches were happy with the standard of players that had turned out not only from established players, but also from those who hadn't pulled on the Stars jersey before.

Stars NIHL2 Trials start tonight

Oxford City Stars tonight will have their first set of trials for the 2012-13 National Ice Hockey League Division 2 season at Oxford Ice Rink at 10pm with a further trial next week on Wednesday 18th July, also at 10pm.
Turnout based on interested players has been promising but any players that are interested in trialling should contact Darren Elliott () or Jeff Sykora () to confirm interest.

Planet Ice Godiva Cup Tournament, U14 and U16

This week end saw our U14 and U16 teams travel to Coventry to take part in their Godiva Cup tournaments. Saturday evening the U14's (with several U12's) played three non stop 18 minute
games against Blackburn, Milton Keynes and then, without any break, drawing 1-1 against fresh hosts and tournament favorites, Coventry.

Exhausted they put up a brave fight but were defeated in the 24 minute final to take a well deserved second place.
